Terms and Conditions

Deposit, cancellation, payment
These terms apply to any booking made directly with Ascent Megève (CARE PROPERTIES MANAGEMENT&ADVISORY), through ascent-megeve.com or by direct contact. Bookings made through third-party platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.) remain subject to those platforms’ own terms and cancellation policy.
Any booking request is subject to written confirmation from us before being considered final. Rates quoted are those in effect at the time of the request.
Payment is made by credit card. You will be notified by message before any charge is made to your card.
A security deposit is required for each rental, generally ranging from €250 to €2,000 depending on the size and category of the property. The exact amount will be stated in your booking confirmation.

The full deposit amount is pre-authorized or charged to your card. If damage is found, you will be notified by message with photos and a repair quotation:
  • If the quoted amount is less than the deposit, the difference will be refunded within up to 7 business days.
  • If the quoted amount exceeds the deposit, you will be contacted to pay the remaining balance.
  • If unpaid, Ascent Megève reserves the right to pursue recovery through the appropriate legal channels.
Cancellations made 30 days or more before arrival may be eligible for a refund, per your booking confirmation. Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival are non-refundable, regardless of reason.
Arrival and departure times are specified in the booking confirmation for each property.
The guest agrees to respect the property and its house rules, not exceed maximum occupancy, and report any damage without delay.
Ascent Megève acts as an intermediary/manager on behalf of the property owners. Our liability cannot be engaged beyond this intermediary role.
Neither party may be held liable for failure to perform its obligations in the event of force majeure, as defined under French case law.
All content on ascent-megeve.com is protected by copyright and remains the property of CARE PROPERTIES MANAGEMENT&ADVISORY.
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.

Ascent Megève acts as agent for the owners of the properties offered. Funds collected on their behalf are held in a separate escrow account.

Consumer mediation. Under article L.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, every consumer has the right to free access to a consumer mediator to resolve a dispute amicably, after first attempting to resolve it directly with us. The mediation body we subscribe to is currently being appointed; its details will be published on this page. The European online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Right of withdrawal. Under article L.221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation supplied on a specific date or for a specific period. Only the cancellation terms in section 5 apply.
